Ancestors of Paul Lange

This compilation began as an effort to prove my direct connection to John Alden of the Mayflower. The roadmap used to establish and document the lineage was a summary provided by an undetermined ancestor. While it contained some errors (particularly the details of Jonathan Watrous' Revolutionary War service) it was been remarkably accurate and did lead to validation of my Mayflower lineage.

This effort surfaced two old, handwritten journals by the same family genealogist, providing extensive details on the the Wetherell family in Manchester, CT in the 1800s. The journals were in possession of my grandmother, Doris Rose Keeney Bradley (1910-1981). The likely author was her grandmother, Rose Wetherell Keeney (1849-1910).

There has also been a fair amount of effort spent in trying to tie together a web of Connecticut Keeney materials. This is an ongoing effort and is being constantly updated, the goal being to establish proven relationships in this large, tangled family.

I hope this file will help you in your research efforts. If you have clarifications or corrections I would welcome the input. Genealogy is a two way street, and much of what I have here is thanks to the generosity of strangers who share the same passion.

Good luck!
